Jennifer Guan - DPT, MA, CSCS

 

Jennifer Guan, DPT, MA, CSCS completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California where she double majored in Neuroscience and Psychology. She then attended Columbia University where she received both a masters in Exercise Physiology and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. During her time at Columbia, Jennifer was involved in research evaluating interventions for knee pain as well as pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain. She is passionate about teaching and has delivered lectures in immunology, kinesiology, pelvic anatomy, and pelvic floor dysfunction.

Jennifer became involved in sports at a young age and has had her fair share of injuries over the years. Her love for movement coupled with her experiences of being a patient herself set her on the path to become a physical therapist. Jennifer looks not only at the injury but considers the whole picture in order to guide her patients toward achieving their goals and pain-free daily living.

Jennifer is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a member of the Section on Women's Health of the American Physical Therapy Association. Jennifer enjoys working with female athletes and combines her knowledge of functional movement and pelvic dysfunction to help her patients optimize their performance and prevent future injury. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys boxing, cooking, and spending time with her dog.
