Charles Hooks received his doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine founded by Stanley Paris, who also founded the American Physical Therapy Association's orthopedic section. He received his Master's of Exercise Physiology from Long Island University - Brooklyn, and Bachelor's of Science specializing in Athletic Training from Arkansas State University.


Dr. Hooks has experience in working with both active and sedentary patients of a wide age range, treating various acute and chronic orthopedic conditions. Using his multiple disciplines he enjoys applying an eclectic approach to therapy. Having this understanding of the human body, his goal is to assist patients in returning to their most optimal form of function. He also has worked with athletes from the NBA, WNBA, NFL and MLS academy team for NYCFC.

Dr. Hooks was born and raised in the Bronx, New York and started his medical journey in high school where he found his love for muscles, injuries and science. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, National Athletic Training Association and National Strength and Conditioning Association. In addition to his degrees, he also became a Certified Manual Therapist through the University of St. Augustine. He enjoys learning new things in the field and his next career goal is to become an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. When Charles is not at work, he enjoys traveling and experiencing new places
